Rivers (Stalker Remix)

from by :PAPERCUTZ

Stalker is a person making music and sound in Chicago but really could be anywhere. In March 2010 he made several tracks available online. Mostly it was just other songs slowed down, edited, and heavily compressed. Some people enjoyed the sound. Remixes gradually followed for These New Puritans, Becoming Real, Kreayshawn, Grimes, along with a distended Lindsay Lohan edit for Tri Angle Records initial release. At some point there will be a release of original material, but none of it was good enough in 2011.

"What I love about Stalker’s music is just how bloody earthy it sounds. It’s extreme music, sure, and, as it takes scraps of existing music into entirely new places, it’s automatically unsettling, but it’s also really natural – beautiful, deep, essential, ancient." Dummy Mag

"Every track he’s done so far has turned the original into a humid, druggy downward spiral towards musical depression, aka THE BEST TIMES." The Fader

"The music of producer/songwriter Bruno Miguel mixes the electronic and the organic in a way that’s intimate and intricate." MTV
